Weather and Climate and Associated hazards
The weather and climate is an essential topic for any Post 16 Geography course. Meteorology is a specialised natural science and offers an important link between Geography and the pure sciences. Weather and climate are both facinating in regard to understanding both the natural phenomina that occurs above our heads but also in the context of viewing the atmosphere as a system that regulates its temperature on a global scale. All weather and related hazards are part of that system, which is in constant change and flux. At times it seems chaotic but when undertsood there appears to be method and purpose in all weather, including the worst and horrifying systems our atmsphosphere throws at us.
